| Description March 15 – April, 2008
During this 4 week residency/exhibition at 301 BOCANA Gallery, Brion Nuda Rosch transports artworks, objects, and ephemera from his working studio space into the gallery space. These forms and structures serve as totems and artifacts that inform his ongoing art-making process. Throughout the duration of the exhibition, Nuda Rosch will respond to the gallery space with continued movement and arrangement, forming a changing and shifting sculptural landscape. This action reflects his primary interests and concerns as an artist – tensions between human’s impact on their environments (natural and man-made) and vice verse. Viewers are encouraged to participate in Nuda Rosch’s process by visiting the space repeatedly throughout the exhibition. Brion Nuda Rosch lives and works in San Francisco. He has exhibited paintings and installations at Allston Skirt Gallery and Samson Projects in Boston, Harold Arts Center in Chicago, and here in San Francisco at Eleanor Harwood Gallery, Triple Base, Adobe Books Backroom Gallery, Southern Exposure, and Intersection for the Arts. |
