For more than 35 years, the Wooden Horse has been bringing toys to the tots of Los Gatos. Although with its welcoming atmosphere and tons of toys, adults too will want to sit on the floor and play for hours.

I couldn't help but reconnect with my inner child when I walked through the doors at the Wooden Horse, a cozy, nonintimidating toy haven. I shamelessly started a list for Santa: one pair of sparkly ruby slippers, a fuzzy Elmo puppet, the mouse family figurines and the giant Frisbee/hula-hoop contraption.
