THE SHOPS AT TANFORAN TO HOST ONE-DAY E-WASTE AND DOCUMENT COLLECTION EVENT SATURDAY, JANUARY 20TH

WHAT: How do you dispose of old television sets? Computer monitors and CPUs? Cell phones? Old printers and copiers? What about those messy ink jet cartridges? For one day only, The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno is inviting the public to bring their outdated or broken office, home appliances and personal electronic equipment to the shopping center, conveniently located off the CA-82 freeway at El Camino Real, for disposal or recycling.

Most items can be disposed of or recycled at the center at no charge. Residents and local businesses disposing of bulkier commercial items, large console or projection TVs, some small household appliances, and items requiring special handling such as batteries or light bulbs will be charged a nominal handling fee.

During the center’s one-day E-Waste and Document Collection event, The Shops at Tanforan will also accept and shred paper documents for $10 per banker box. All items will be disposed of or recycled in accordance with California law.
