Description
A "briskly funny and bracing" work by a young Bay Area theatrical superstar, The Shaker Chair focuses with both quirky wit and searing insight on environmental problems and personal relationships. The pivotal character, Marion, is a middle-aged widow who has recently purchased a Shaker chair and who begins to apply the Shaker philosophy (get up and get involved) to her own passive lifestyle.
