En route to the Hollywood Bowl, ersatz Pixies frontman Black Francis will make one stop in the Santa Cruz Mountains with a small band in tow for an intimate performance of material both new and classic at the Brookdale Lodge, a haunted motel up in the hills...If thats not rad enough, supporting the bill are undoubtedly two of the Bay Area's finest, PORT O'BRIEN, a terrific indie rock band incorporating elements of folk and Americana into a sound some critics have compared to indie luminaries like Will Oldham and Bright Eyes, and BROOKHAVEN, whose washed out, shoegazing melodies and fuzzy electronica are reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine; incorporating an abundance of varied elements to their sound and arrangement, twitching and turning out drops of rhythm that no musical umbrella can completely cover.Not to be missed!
