Description
Given their fascination with horror-film kitsch, you'd be forgiven for mistaking local outfit the Obsessors for yet another monochromatic psychobilly act, but that would be missing the point. The pluckish five-piece resides in a much more interesting place, reanimating discarded bits of garage-rock grime, Devo-style space age anxiety and Runaways-worthy spunk. Lead singer Cobra Lily has just the right mix of snottiness and snarl, while the band provides a simple yet effective bedrock for her songs about zombie fatalities, undead babies and Alex Jones-worthy conspiratorial paranoia.
