The Hot Toddies just have an undeniable, irresistible charm. Combined with their spot on 60s girl group harmonies and infectious tweepop songwriting, that makes them the kind of band that will force a smile out of listeners, like it or not. Yet under the cute exterior, they are a raw rock and roll band, though not quite punk rock, despite their affiliation with punk label Asian Man Records. Its more like pre punk garage rock. As much as they pound out garage tunes, they are equally drenched in sunny Beach Boys pop sensibilities. The Oddly Even and Slime Girls also play.
