Bay Area septet The Hitmen has been delivering high-energy funk and R&B dance music to audiences at benefits, festivals, fairs, concerts, nightclubs, corporate events and other venues for over 20 years. The group has performed with the likes of Cameo, the Ohio Players, ConFunkShun, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Pete Escovedo and with members of Santana and Tower of Power.The unique musical backgrounds and experiences of the seven-piece band, combined with their undeniable creative abilities, meet up in a dance party that transcends musical boundaries. The Hitmen play a variety of classics from the '70s (by such greats as James Brown, War and the Commodores) and modern-day favorites, and they have become the unofficial band for KISS 98.1 FM - "Classic Soul and the best of Modern R&B."
