Easily one of the biggest names in pop-rock at the moment, The Fray straddles two time-tested formulas popularized by everyone from U2 to the Counting Crows. On one side of the spectrum, you’ve got your lighter-to-the-sky arena-rock tunes, while on the other, a carefully introspective acoustic pop to balance things out. Vocalist Isaac Slade and Joe King formed the group after bumping into each other at a record shop a decade ago (good story, right?), and released their first full length in 2005, to rave reviews. Since then, the Fray has continued its upward climb; their new self-titled album has been comfortably parked on the Billboard Chart since its release earlier this year.
