With all the financial ups and downs that punk rock has seen these past few decades, sometimes young bands forget that, at its core, the genre is supposed to be filled with angst and give voice to the alienated. The Antioxidants rely on music as their sole means of communicating with the outside world. It's angry stuff, but not in a violent way-more in the nervous-outcast-trying-to-be-heard kind of way. They play pop-punk in the vein of Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance with occasional ska riffs. They'll be giving away free download codes for their new album to everyone who attends the show.
