Every Sunday this SoFA District lounge turns into the one of the more cross-pollinated club experiences in the Bay Area, with a tasty blend of Afrobeat, Afrohouse and "world ridders," which you can take to mean everything from Nigerian funk, or 'naija' (lately morphing into something called 'hip life') to the uptempo clip of kuduro and house-y remixes of everything from hip-hop, dub, reggae and any club sound informed by the African diaspora. With a rotating cast of DJs--DJ Prince, Shea Butter, DJ Tesfa and The C.M.E.--the mood can be future cool or as frenzied as a Fela Kuti house party. (AL)*** Music By Rotating Selectors **
