Description

New Orleans drummer and Telarc recording artist Stanton Moore is characteristically involved in myriad projects, collaborating with a wide variety of musicians from Charlie Hunter and John Scofield to the Meters and the New Orleans Klezmer Allstars. For his night at Yoshi’s, Moore will team up with Berkeley High alum Will Bernard, a serious force on modern guitar, and Wil Blades, a Down Beat rising star on B-3 organ. “Call his sound infectious,” says Modern Drummer of Moore. “Call it part jazz-meets-Bonham. Call it nouveau second-line. No matter. Stanton is serving up new-style funk.”
