Description
St. Anthony Foundation's 32nd Annual Penny Pitch happens on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, from 1:00 to 6:00 at Joey & Eddie’s on Stockton Street, between Union and Filbert. Civic organizations like the Fire Fighters union and members of the Golden Gate Restaurant Association compete for the Penny Pitch championship, while rambunctious neighborhood residents cheer them on. Everone can participate in the raffle and silent auction (3:00pm), followed by the final pitch and the awarding of medals.St. Anthony Foundation has helped San Francisco's low-income residents move out of poverty since 1950, providing food, clothing, health care, counseling, and job training.
