It seems as if Sean Blak always has something cooking. Every Tuesday he and his slew of DJs spin underground hip-hop at the "Trap Shop" at Johnny V's. On other nights of the week, you can find him around town setting aside the turntables and actually rapping. (He still finds time to record albums, too, and has something pretty spectacular in the pipeline). In addition to all that, he organizes battle-rap competitions, even though he doesn't generally compete. Blak calls his battles the "Snake Pit" series. This Saturday's event is "Snake Pit Venom," with headliner Venom and two local rappers-Shamako and Luck Loosh-oing head to head. Also battling will be YDMC, Squared the II, Radiashun, Tommy Gunn and Maleko.
