Playland is holding a Sideshow weekend in honor of P.T. Barnum! Learn all about sideshow as our experts give talks, and answer your questions! See rare artifacts from some of the most famous sideshow performers in history, sideshow artwork, and maybe even a surprise appearance by sideshow performers? You’ll only find out if you attend!We’ll be featuring “The Magical Creatures of the World”, an interactive game for children! This game will test your knowledge as to what animal is real and which animals are make-believe!
Playland is a nonprofit Museum of Fun built entirely by volunteers. The 20+ interactive exhibits celebrate the magic and history of America's bygone amusements: circuses, carnivals, magic, pinball arcades, haunted houses, and beautiful art everywhere. Our goal is to educate newer generations about the bygone days and allow those who remember Whitney's Playland and the Sutro Baths the opportunity to recapture the glorious sights and sounds of that time.
