Description
The Department of Theater and Dance at Santa Clara University welcomes you to its newest production, "Shakuntala." Written in the 5th century in the classical Indian storytelling tradition, the story involves a king who falls in love with the beautiful Shakuntala while hunting. The two are soon married, yet their happy lives together are in danger when a curse befalls them. Featuring contemporary music by the award-winning Rudresh Mahanthappa, this production is led by guest director from New York, George Drance, S.J. See the event website for more details.
