Description

Outside in the Barbro Osher Sculpure Garden and Café at the de Young in Golden Gate Park (If inclement weather inside the de Young at Wilsey Court)

For the third consecutive year, Intersection and the de Young join forces in a unique collaboration to present eight family-friendly outdoor Sunday afternoon performances. Experience some of the most exciting Bay Area jazz musicians in beautiful Golden Gate Park.

Sarah Wilson's energetic, idiosyncratic compositions reflect a deep understanding of the connection between images and motion. A new 9-piece ensemble that she refers to as "power brass jazz folk song tonic for the masses" blends improvisational, jazz, and pop melodies to create funky, quirky fresh music.

Darren Johnston - trumpet
Rob Ewing - trombone
Danny Grewen - trombone
