The Center of Asian American Media presents the San Jose Summer Showcase, a 3-day film series which will feature 15 Asian and Asian American works from around the world, from local shorts to international features.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 17th
The Rebel/7:00pm: In one of Vietnam's first big budget blockbusters, Cuong (martial arts star Johnny Nguyen) is a government agent on the run with a fierce young insurgent (Vietnamese pop star/model/actress Ngo Thanh Van).

Au Revoir Taipei/6:00pm: When an opportunity to travel to Paris to visit his girlfriend arises, lovelorn Kai, along with new friend Susie and best friend Gao become entangled in a whirlwind night around Taipei filled with intrigue and adventure.
Skateistan/9:00pm: Oliver Percovich and Sharna Nolan came to Kabul in 2007 hoping to connect with the local kids, and eventually founded the first school for skateboarding, called Skateistan, in an attempt to bring hope to those without it while bridging the gap between gender, ethnicity, and class.
