A day that is totally going to the dogs....The John Miller Program and Java Beach Café bring you a Rocket Dog Rescue benefit event...
The La Playa Spring Block Party
April 26th, 2008 from 11 AM to 6PM
It will take place in the block of La Playa at Judah in San Francisco
Located at the end of the N-Judah line - next to Ocean Beach
(a dog's favorite place to run)
This fabulous street fair will have great surf and rock bands playing:
The Del Mars
The Lava Rats
Meshugga Beach Party
Pollo del Mar
Dirty Dave and the Deviants
The Hacks
And what does a dog like along with the ocean air and surf bands?... Shopping - So, we will have dog services, non-profits, food, and accessory vendors.
The event will be free, but there will be a raffle and other ways to donate to Rocket Dog Rescue.
Rocket Dog Rescue is an amazing dog rescue group; they help find homes for dogs that other groups have given up on. So, they are the underdog - dog rescue group. Rocket Dog had a recent hardship around Christmas, when their base of operations burnt down and are still struggling.
Rocket Dog Rescue will have dogs at the event ready for adoption.
It will be a great chance for dogs and humans to get out socialize and enjoy the day.
Also, Pirate Cat Radio (http://www.piratecatradio.com) staff will be at the event doing a live broadcast.
