Best Summer Wines, Friday, July 8
Light, crisp wines are one of the many joys of summer. This Friday, come to Artisan Wine Depot to taste some of this year’s best offerings. Being poured are wines from California, Oregon and France. You will be tasting sauvignon blancs, rosés and rieslings among others to decide whether your palette prefers wines from America or France.

Persian Food and Belly Dancing, Saturday, July 9
This Saturday night, delight your palette and feast your eyes at Arya Global Cuisine. Enjoy family style dining in a regal setting while eating kebabs, dolmas or going with the Italian side and classics such as bruschetta, spinach artichoke dip and friend calamari. While eating, you will be entertained by live music and beautiful belly dancers. Happy Saturday!

Los Altos Art and Wine Festival, Sunday, July 10
It’s sunny outside and I can’t think of a better way to spend a lazy Sunday than strolling through quaint downtown Los Altos, sipping on a glass of wine and looking at local wares. This weekend, come to the 32 annual Arts and Wine Festival in downtown Los Altos, showcasing the distinctive works of artists and craftspeople from over a dozen states. The Festival also features select vintages by the glass from local wineries as well as a wide variety of foods including Thai, Chinese, Mexican, All American favorites like sausages, hot links and roasted corn, sweets of all kinds, and more. There will also be live music and fun for all!

Home-style Mexican Cooking Class, Wednesday, July 13
Don’t miss this rare chance to learn how to cook authentic Mexican cuisine from a person whose recipes have been passed down to her from her family. Paloma will teach you how to make her family’s traditional food. On the menu will be piccadillo (Spiced meat and vegtables) with rice, Mexican egg and potato soup, jamaica (hibiscus tea)and flan (carmel custard) for dessert. Dinner will be shared and eaten following the class.

Winemaker Dinner at Plumed Horse, Wednesday, July 13
Enjoy a sumptuous meal at The Plumed Horse, featuring wines made by Celia Welch. Celia is winemaker and owner of Corra wines, and is the consulting winemaker to some of Napa Valley’s most prestigious wineries. Showcasing Celia’s diversity, the evening will include five different varietals from five different wineries, all made by Celia. The wineries represented will be: Corra, 2480 Hollywood and Vine, Lindstrom, Keever, and Kelly Fleming. The wines will be be paired with Chef Peter’s cuisine. On the menu will be warm Maine lobster, caviar, stinging nettle ravioli, kobe beef and petit fours for dessert. What’s not to love?
