Bonny Doon at Sent Sovi, Thursday, June 30
This Thursday, don’t miss your chance to have dinner and drinks with “The Original Rhone Deranger,” otherwise known as Randall Grahm, owner and wine maker of Bonny Doon winery. Enjoy a delicious dinner at Sent Sovi while chatting it up with Randall. Start the evening sipping on Randall’s signature cocktail after which you will partake of a fabulous meal which will include Arctic Char, terrine of chicken, lamb and dessert all expertly paired with Bonny Doon selections. There may even be a few surprises during the course of your dinner. Happy Thursday!

A Movable Feast, Friday, July 1
Want an inexpensive, fun Friday night? Bring all your friends to the San Mateo Events Center and join in a Moveable Feast. The event goes from 5:30-10pm and features live music, and local vendors showcasing their art, fashion etc. But the best part is of course the food. Food trucks will be converging on the space and you can feast on any number of decadent sweet or savory delicacies. Artisanal Beer Tasting at K & L, Saturday, July 2
I don’t know many people who don’t like beer, and in Northern California beer love seems to be taking on a whole new dimension and becoming beer obsession in the best sense of the word. We are not only beer drinkers, but connoisseurs. It is telling when a purveyor of fine wines starts having artisinal beer tastings. That is exactly what is happening on Saturday July 2nd at K & L wine merchants in Redwood city. A perfect start to your weekend-this is also a great way to taste new summer releases or to educate yourself about the “other” bubbly!

Big Dog Tasting and Sale, Sunday, July 3
Big Dog’s winemaker Mark Capalongan is not interested in having a large scale production winery. Rather, he is interested in quality. Since 2001 his vineyard has been producing the finest quality Cabernet grapes in small quantities and he is committed to producing Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc wine. This weekend enjoy the sunshine on Big Dog’s gorgeous patio while sipping delicious wines. Bring a picnic, your wine tasting appetite and go home with some great deals. This weekend only 2005 Napa Cab and 2006 Cinq Chevaux are half price.

Poetic Cellars at UnWined, Wednesday, July 6
Celebrate the middle of the week at UnWined wine bar in San Jose as they pour wines from Poetic Cellars. Poetic Cellars is one of the newest wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains, but winemaker Katy Lovell brings with her over 20 years of experience from the Livermore Valley. Katy is not only a winemaker, but also an artist. Each of her handcrafted wines boasts a label designed by Katy as well as a poem written by her partner Joseph Naegele. Stop by to chat with Katy as she shares her Chardonnay, Syrah, Mantra and other blends.
