Description

Over 20 years ago, playwright Billy Aronson and composer Jonathan Larson set out to capture the splendor of Puccini's La Boheme while superimposing the grittiness of their beloved New York into the picture. Needless to say, the play changed the face of American theater, not shying away from topics as heavy as living with HIV, or as ubiquitous as struggling to keep a roof over one's head. It's no surprise the play has held up. Broadway San Jose brings the show back to town with a 20th anniversary production. Runs through Jan 28.
