Description

In today’s rapid-fire online landscape, it is imperative that businesses show that customers’ personal information is being handled responsibly and with utmost care. You need to be clear about how you’re using data and get appropriate consent where needed. The companies that take measures to build the right privacy protections into their platforms from the very start not only ensure the integrity of their brand but also build customer trust and loyalty.

If you’re based in Silicon Valley, this workshop offers a great opportunity to learn more about how privacy impacts your business, your customers and your employees. The panel will feature the following privacy experts:

• Robert D. Brownstone, Technology and eDiscovery Counsel and Co-Chair, Electronic Information Management Group, Fenwick & West LLP
• Saira Nayak, Director of Policy, TRUSTe
• Kevin Trilli, Vice President of Product Management, TRUSTe

If you’re in the process or planning to execute a privacy management policy, you won’t want to miss this workshop series:

In addition to the workshop series, TRUSTe has also partnered with the Application Developers Alliance for a 16-city Privacy Summit Series for application developers. A key goal of the series is to get developers more involved in the privacy conversation that’s going on nationwide, especially within regulatory and legislative bodies.

You can see the series in New York on June 25 and in Chicago on June 26 and sessions are also planned later in the year for Boulder, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston and Washington, D.C. Like the entrepreneur workshop series, this is also a totally free event. We’re providing the beer, pizza and privacy experts – you only need to bring yourself and join the conversation. For more information, go to devprivacysummit.com.

TRUSTe is committed to keeping the conversation alive and to engage in as many of these types of educational opportunities as possible. TRUSTe believes education is key to success and has made it a primary focus this year, starting with our Privacy Index Series introduced in January.

These are fast times in online privacy, with new policies – such as the EU Cookie Directive – coming into play. Our goal is to keep you ahead of the compliance curve and continue to deliver the highest quality privacy management solutions to meet whatever else comes in the future.
