A guide to the best classical concerts in Silicon Valley for the weekend

AS PART of its free Community Concerts series, the Steinway Society of the Bay Area presents a family-friendly afternoon performance by Namik Sultanov. The Azerbaijan pianist (born in the fabled oil city of Baku) got started on violin and flute, but by the time he was 12 he had switched to the piano. In Moscow, Sultanov studied with Lev Naumov at the State Conservatory. He has taught in Turkey and toured extensively. For this concert, he will perform Bach’s Chaconne in D Minor, Schumann’s Carnaval and works by Chopin and Rachmaninov. Sunday (Jan. 24) at 2:30pm; Le Petit Trianon, 72 N.
