If I were to make a movie about living in San Jose, I’d probably commission Powder Train to write the soundtrack. Powder Train gives themselves big shoes to fill, listing bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Doors among their influences. Fair enough, but more than anything or anybody else, they sound distinctly like San Jose. They’re smooth, sexy, and a little bit sinister. I can’t think of a particular region of San Jose that is smooth and/or sexy, but I can think of a few that are a little bit sinister. I know I’m not making sense right now, but trust me, it will make sense when you hear it. Powder Train might just make you proud to live here. - Jody Amable sanjose.comMore Info
