Description
At We've Got Your Back, our goal is to provide you with information and education about a variety of methods to relax, strengthen and repair your back. We're kicking off the first in our series of free seminars this Thursday, March 4, when Elizabeth Reder Kastellic of the Pilates Center of Los Gatos will conduct an hour long introduction to Pilates and GYROTONICŪ movement.Elizabeth's journey to become a personal trainer and Pilates instructor began with her own personal back injury. After years as an active athlete, she found being injured very difficult to tolerate. Finding frustration with traditional medical care that she was offered, Elizabeth began researching ways to help herself. Physical therapy led to Pilates, which turned out to be the one program that could bring her back to full fitness and health.
After becoming a an ACE-Certified personal trainer, Elizabeth also became a Pilates instructor. Her continued pursuit of health led her to GYROTONICŪ method, which moves the body in a continuous, fluid, circular motion using the GYROTONICŪ Expansion System. She is now a certified GYROTONICŪ instructor.
GYROTONICŪ movement reeducates the body to decompress the joints so that movement can more easily come from the body's power center. The result is increased core strength, range of motion, flexibility and coordination.
