Jazz on the Plazz closes with renowned Jazz singer, Paula West on August 29th at 6:30 PM.West is a strong jazz singer well known for her powerful and amazing voice. Festival Executive Producer for Jazz on the Plazz, Michael Jacobi describes West as "the best Jazz singer on the planet."
She's very unique, taking songs usually not found in jazz or cabaret and performing them with her own twist but still keeping their meaning intact. Covers that she's done include, "If I Only Had A Brain," from the Wizard of Ox, "Fixin' A Hole," by The Beatles, Danny Boy and many others.
She is a popular performer in both San Francisco and New York City and has performed in Japan, Israel, Turkey and Greece.
