It’s fair to assume that the five members of the San Francisco-based outfit Outshined are a little disappointed with the way popular music has taken shape. Gone are the days of mighty power-chord riffs and guitar solos that mattered, but even a dead scene can’t stop bands like Outshined from rocking like it was sometime before 1997. Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Black Label Society are the visionaries that inspired Outshined, and by all indications, the group is taking their lessons of rock & roll bravado to heart.
