Description
Oklahoma! tells the story of the frontier romance between Curly McClain and a farm girl, Laurey Williams and features possibly the most tuneful and famous score in Broadway history. Hit songs include Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, Surry With the Fringe on Top, People Will Say We’re in Love and, of course, the title tune. The cast for this show is older than for many other LAYT shows, and they are enjoying working on a show that is both adult and old-fashioned.
Director Shannon Stowe returns from a year of theatre studies New York. She finds this cast to be talented and committed. " The quality of the performances is above and beyond what most people expect from a youth theatre,” says Stowe.
With an excellent staff of directors, choreographer and vocal coach, the cast is preparing to present an outstanding show.
