BIKE RACING AND ROLLER DERBY SHOWCASE TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME AT HELLYER PARK’S BANKED TRACK

500-1,000+ anticipated turnout, highlighting Santa Clara County’s Hellyer Park and velodrome as multi-use, year-round, athletic, and family-friendly


For all of those interested in rolling glory, come on out! Free food, free drinks, free admission to the races!

Bicycle racers, fixed-gear enthusiasts, and roller girls from all over the Bay Area will join forces on November 20 at the Hellyer Park Velodrome for a fun-filled night, showcasing racing on two and four wheels. Hellyer Park will also be the first stop for San Jose Bike Party, a community bike ride that meets the third Friday of each month, typically turning out hundreds of local participants. Despite the strained budgets that county and state parks face, facilities such as Hellyer Park remain an essential space for enabling healthy community activities.

San Jose Bicycle Club is sponsoring the event with free food from local vendors and will hold a drawing that night to benefit the racing program for juniors. Free admission to the event; parking is $6. All are welcome; rain cancels.
