Description

Come on down to Hicklebee's as they hold the next installment in their monthly Novel Society meeting. This month, they will be discussing the Printz Honor-winning novel, Dodger, by Terry Pratchett. Inspired by Charles Dickens' character the Artful Dodger, Dodger takes place in early Victorian London and follows a seventeen-year-old Dodger, a street urchin. He embarks on an adventure to help a young girl who attempts to escape her captors, leading to encounters with the mad barber Sweeney Todd, the great writer Charles Dickens and the calculating politician Benjamin Disraeli.

As a Novel Society member, you will receive a 20% discount on titles chosen for discussion and sometimes access to pre-publication previews of new books from well-known as well as up-and-coming authors.
