Description

The Revival House Classic Queer Cinema – a new monthly film series

On Wednesday, April 16th, we will present Bruce LaBruce’s lust masterpiece of erotic, skinhead love, "No Skin Off My Ass" (Canada, 1991). Starting off the show will be a screening of the homoerotic short, "Fireworks" by Kenneth Anger (U.S.A., 1947).

In "No Skin Off My Ass", a flamboyant and verbally active hairdresser’s world is turned upside down when he falls for (and subsequently imprisons) an apparently mute skinhead. Nothing, however, is what it appears to be in in this funny and stylized hardcore portrait of queer punks in love. Long out of print in the U.S. this is a rare opportunity to check out the debut feature of this raunchy and visionary queer filmmaker.

The Revival House presents the best in homo-grown cinema from decades past. Specializing in the unique, rare and obscure we screen long-forgotten Hollywood and Foreign flix, art-house hits, and erotic screen gems.
