Description
Sundance Award-Winning Film VIP Screening and Brainstorm Session. Hosted by United ENDA California & Transgender Law Center (Food & drink provided). Please join No Dumb Questions filmmaker Melissa Regan and a small group of community leaders and educators for a special film screening and brainstorming session.
The No Dumb Questions project is working hard to develop a new model for education and storytelling online that is also a tool for LGBT activists, and we need your input. Help create a powerful new tool for families, educators & activists to transcend difference and eliminate discrimination and violence. No Dumb Questions is a funny and touching Sundance award-winning documentary film about three sisters whose Uncle Bill is becoming a woman. It has appeared on Oprah, HBO/Cinemax, LOGO and PBS.
The film is now being re-released with new interviews. And we're creating an interactive online community where anyone can use video, audio, photos, text and social media to ask their own questions and tell their own stories about gender identity and sexual orientation. In a few weeks we go into an intensive 10-day design session with mentors from Apple, Adobe, Google, MobiTV, Current TV and other amazing Web 2.0 and media companies. But before that, we need your help. We want to make sure this site solves real problems. Come help us identify the needs of our constituent groups -- activists, educators/students, church groups, LGBT and other gender nonconforming people and their families. Will you come provide your input at this critical time?
