San Jose Music & Nightlife - Blues Clubs

For over 20 years, the San Jose blues scene has stood strong and remained proud thanks to a variety of special events at varying venues and one very hardcore blues club called JJ's. At random nightclubs and lounges, weekly or monthly events allow anyone to catch the sassy blends of jazz and blues heating up the room propelled by local artists. JJ's Blues, on the other hand, is without a doubt a San Jose institution that brings on the live blues every night of the week. A true live-music bar in every sense, JJ's manifesto says that, while other types of music may be great, they are all about the blues. The décor is less like a photo gallery and more like a shrine to greats like Billie Holiday, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf and Ma Rainy, and the music is brought on by national acts and local performers alike.
