Mineta Airport’s Terminal B was on lockdown Thursday night after a woman exited the secure area and attempted to re-enter through the exit line, bypassing a second screening. The woman, who had just arrived on a flight from Phoenix, was in transit to Orange County. Investigators say that she began her trip in Dallas. Though she had a ticket, she was barred from returning to the terminal.

Because of the incident, all of the passengers in the terminal were forced to go through a second screening. Even passengers already on planes were told to leave the aircraft and go through screening again. While the terminal was empty, airport security searched it for possible weapons.

The woman was stopped at 8:30pm, but it wasn’t until 11pm that passengers were allowed back into the terminal, which serves Southwest, Delta, and Alaska Airlines. Most flights were delayed, yet only one flight, to San Diego, was canceled.
