Flogging Molly’s ardent bass player Nathan Maxwell debuts his new band to Bay Area audiences this evening, as Nathan Maxwell and the Original Bunny Gang take over the Blank Club stage. Though Flogging Molly fans may gawk in surprise at Maxwell’s positively mellow output, there’s truly something touching about a rowdy rocker’s transcendence into acoustic honesty. The group’s debut album, White Rabbit is due out later this month, and should reach the grasp of Flogging Molly’s general audience, preferably those hung over after a night of drinking at the Pub while listening to Maxwell’s original group.
