Description
The blueprint for heavy metal was already established more than 40 years ago, but it was up to Michael Schenker to create much of the metal guitar vocabulary, starting with the Scorpions debut in 1972. Later, he refined his tools with UFO sharp midrange guitar tone, punchy riffs and searing guitar solos. There was also the guitar itself, the infamous black and white Flying V, which was almost as famous as he was. In the late 70s, he formed the Michael Schenker Group and kept the sounds of early metal alive, occasionally rejoining and requitting UFO throughout the years.
