A car bomb exploded in Oakland, CA 22 years ago injuring two environmental activists, Judi Bari and Darryl Cherney. Oakland police and FBI did not investigate, but instead arrested and charged the duo with possession of explosives and accused them of planting the bomb themselves. It took 7 years for Bari and Cherney to clear their names and have the charges dropped due to lack of evidence. The mystery of who bombed Judi Bari is still unsolved today. Perhaps the film will once again draw public attention to the incident to help find an answer before the FBI destroys the evidence.Meet Darryl Cherney as he presents his first documentary and discusses the work of Judi Bari. It was her work as a powerful organizer that won her many victories for social and environmental causes. The preservation of the ancient redwoods in the Headwaters Forest was one of those victories. It is Cherney's hope that the film will inspire a new generation of activism by highlighting the victories that Bari and her cohorts won. Causes that were won by creating a movement, hard work and nonviolence.
