Description
When writing about hardcore punk music, its best to use the literary tools of simile and metaphor to describe the chaos. For example, the local hardcore quartet Matsuri sounds like a deranged raccoon scratching its nails on a chalkboard while attempting to chew off its own leg in order to escape an excruciatingly painful bear trap. Or better yet, Matsuri is an exploding ruckus of teenage angst, driven by a hatred of weekend curfews, traffic laws and homework. Oh wait, that probably isn’t a metaphor.
