Brass Mafia, North Beach Brass Band, Brass Band Mission, Fillmore Wax, plus other guest musiciansSan Francisco’s Jazz Mafia has been taking over the Bay Area since it’s inception 10 years ago. Bands like the Jazz Mafia Symphony, Realistic Orchestra, the Shotgun Wedding Quintet and many more have been putting San Francisco back on the map as one of the most important music scenes in the country. Based on the tried-and-true new Orleans brass ensemble, the Brass Mafia includes Trombone, Trumpet, Saxes, drums and most importantly TUBA!
San Francisco's talented North Beach Brass Band is both a traditional brass band playing early jazz and show standards and an electrified post-bebop funk/jazz act playing classic groove jazz riffs. The quintet lineup of sax, trumpet, tuba, drums and guitar covers a wide array of genres for any taste, from Louis Armstrong's favorites to danceable covers of Seventies hits from bands like War, Hugh Masakela, The Meters, Jobim, and Miles Davis. The band can lead a march, do a surprise appearance at the office, play fanfares at an awards ceremony -- get a brass band onboard and everyone starts smiling!
Bringing the sounds of brass, drums and bass to the streets of San Francisco and the Bay Area. Brass Band Mission plays in the neighborhood streets of San Francisco in the cities many outdoor events and music venues. Brass Band Mission is a brass band with a powerful sound and lots of energy. Brass Band Mission plays jazz and NOLA second line music.
From funky classics to the local Bay Area sounds to the bubble pop of DC GOGO congas, DJ Fillmore Wax knows how to keep the groove alive. This DJ has been winning new fans due to his non-stop dedication to spinning different types
of music and not replicating what other DJs play. With just a few years of experience, Fillmore Wax has been making
a name for himself, not just at the Fillmore or all of San Francisco or the Bay Area, but everywhere. People of different ages, races, and all walks of life can't get enough of his superb music collection.
