"Leon Russell was born on April 2, 1942 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He's a singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist. With a solo career spanning the genres of rock, blues, and gospel, Russell began his musical career at 14. Russell has played with a virtual who's who of artists as varied as Jerry Lee Lewis, Phil Spector, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and many others.
