He could have punched the shit out of Lex Luthor, drank a quart of Jack Daniels, and then sat on Luthor's chest and wrote a song about the experience that would have gone to #1 on the country charts for six months. Then he'd stick out his arm and a bald eagle would land on it. That Kristofferson is the namesake for the world's coolest cub in Fantastic Mr. Fox is an easy to parse joke. The real Kristofferson is: a retired Army captain in the Rangers, a former Golden Gloves boxer, a vampire (in the Blade movies) an ex- Rhodes scholar at Oxford, and a helicopter pilot.
