Description
Get ready for a magical evening of slack key guitar music from Keola Beamer, the master of Hawaiian artistic expression. For well over 30 years, Beamer has been an educator, proponent, and revitalizer of the Hawaiian musical tradition as well as one of its primary creative figures. He has recorded prolifically, and his 1978 album, Honolulu City Lights, is the largest-selling recording in the history of Hawaiian music. Appearing with Beamer at Yoshi’s will be Hawaii-born Chris Yeaton, whose traditional slack key guitar work also incorporates a blend of contemporary fingerstyle playing.
