Today he is known as a British writer, actor and tall person. Just a glimpse of John Cleese can make you laugh! Like many young comedic-bound Britons, John Cleese was inspired by the legendary Peter Sellers, as well as Marty Feldman. He attended Cambridge to study Law, but his real love was comedy. So he devoted a great deal of time to the university's legendary Footlights group, writing and performing in comedy reviews, which ultimately led him to the Monty Python Show. For decades after he appeared in Python movies such as "Monty Python and the Holy Grail," "Life of Brian," "Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl" and "The Meaning of Life." His acting career continues with movies including roles in the hit comedy "A Fish Called Wanda," and both of the Harry Potter and the James Bond film series.
