Boasting live entertainment every night, JJ's Blues is a cozy neighborhood blues dive with a full bar and awesome tunes. Hmm…do you need anything else? Well just in case that didn't convince you of JJ's worthiness in the San Jose bar scene, this blues spot has over two decades of history and, though ownership changed back in '05, the new owners have proved their dedication to quality live music and ever flowing cocktails.

-----------

JJ's Blues is truly the last of its kind, a small, intimate blues bar, with live music nearly every night of the week. It opened its doors in 1983 with lots of local blues players taking the stage, as well as legends in the genre, including John Lee Hooker, Chris Cain, Albert King, Albert Collins and Charlie Musselwhite to name a few.

Though they tend to stick more now to a network of favorites they built up over the years, along with some top Bay Area talent who drop by regularly, this is still the uncontested official home of the blues in the South Bay. There's music seven days a week, most often, and audiences party till midnight and beyond.
