Jazz Musicians Helping Themselves!
The Third Annual Jazz Musicians’ Healthcare Fundraiser Marathon comes to Silicon Valley
Monday, June 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM until. Location: San Pedro Square Market, 87 N. San Pedro Street, San Jose, CA 95110
Health care support is important to everyone and especially jazz musicians. The San Pedro Square Market understands this need and has graciously agreed to host our third annual fundraiser. It is a very unique venue that is like a beehive with so many people in attendance at their many events. For more information see their website at http://www.sanpedrosquaremarket.com/
. This venue provides convenient food services and parking.
Not only that, the Starving Musicians stores in Santa Clara, Berkeley and Santa Cruz are selling tickets and will provide the backline equipment for the musicians during this powerful 10 artists music marathon. Their website is http://www.starvingmusician.com/
What a great collaboration between musicians, venue and music store!

Now, what can you do? My name is Eddie Gale, San José’s Ambassador of Jazz since 1974 and this is one of our many special projects for positive causes. Please come out and support our musicians.
Other special projects have included the We're Jaazzed! Youth/Adult Jazz Festival, Concerts for World Peace and Peace Poetry Contest, Horace Mann School Fundraiser for Science Camp and the Arts, Jazz on Wheels, Drum Night, and many others.
The goal of this marathon is to help jazz musicians all over the world by fundraising and giving the proceeds from each $20 donation to the Jazz Foundation of America for jazz musicians healthcare.
Jazz Foundation of America is well known for providing support to jazz musicians when our musicians need support the most. Experience for yourself how the Jazz Foundation saves lives, homes and creates performance opportunities every day and has been doing so for over 20 years. Their website tells the story at http://www.jazzfoundation.org/
The Jazz Culture Committee is proud to present 10 incredible performances. Their website is included for more information about each.
