"Inspirations"

"Inspirations", an exhibition of paintings by Lynette Cook starts March 14th in the Mission College Vargas Gallery. The Opening Reception is Wed March 21st from 5-8 p.m.
Ms. Cook paints with a careful precision which prompts some to ask "are those photographs?" A former scientific illustrator, Cook enjoys detail and finds beauty and complexity in everyday objects and scenes. Her larger paintings include doors, windows, and passageways from historic structures such as the Great Wall of China. "They are like snapshots in time, that mirror the struggles of the inner and outer self as well as challenges within society..."
