A California Art Deco Landmark with Contemporary Amenities
The historic, immaculately restored Hotel De Anza in downtown San Jose combines high style with one of Silicon Valley's best locations. The Deco-era national landmark is the closest hotel to the HP Pavilion arena, minutes from the Mineta San Jose International Airport and walking distance to downtown San Jose's restaurants, nightclubs and performing arts theaters.

For guests who prefer to remain inside, the highly regarded La Pastaia Restaurant, owned by longtime San Jose restaurateurs John and Margaret Ardizzone, offers contemporary, rustic Italian cuisine and a deep wine list of brunellos, amarones, nebbiolos and classic chiantis. The De Anza Hotel also lets its executive guests "raid the pantry" for midnight snacks.

The De Anza Hotel's cocktail lounge, the Hedley Club, is a local institution. It offers cozy seating and live jazz in a historic room with classic art, a wood-burning fireplace and high hand-painted ceilings restored to 1930s Old California elegance.

Opened in 1931 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 10-story, 100-room De Anza Hotel was completely gutted and renovated in 1991, and been lovingly tended since. The spacious, WiFi-enabled marble lobby is contemporary and appointed with tribal art. Meeting rooms are ideal for small meetings. And the fountain courtyard accommodates wedding receptions and special occasions of up to 150 guests.

Guest rooms at the De Anza have all the comforts executive travelers enjoy: speedy T1 Internet access, spacious bathrooms with TVs and Lather hair products, crown molding and turndown service. The room inventory includes three junior suites, five parlor suites and one penthouse suite.

Downtown San Jose has emerged as the San Francisco Bay Area's number one night club district, and guests can choose from nearby sports bars, Irish pubs, rock clubs, dance clubs and ultralounges. The Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose Museum of Art and Children's Discovery Museum are all within several block’s walk.

Shopping destinations such as Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair are less than ten minutes by car, as is the Willow Glen neighborhood shopping district and the Great Mall of the Bay Area, a former Ford assembly plant repurposed as a huge discount mall with many national name brand outlets.

Less than an hour away are San Francisco and the beautiful Santa Cruz coast, with scenic beaches and the West Coast's last wooden roller coaster. Wine tasting at wineries in the Saratoga hills, Livermore valley and Santa Cruz mountains are a short drive as well. And the town of Los Gatos, less than 15 minutes away at the edge of the Santa Cruz mountains, is a century-old California railroad town loaded with scenery, restaurants and boutique shopping.
