Hot Buttered Rum sticks to a mellow style of music, much like its namesake, by playing easy-going yet intricate arrangements of timeless classics by the Beatles and Hank Williams. The band's use of the flute and clarinet sets them apart from many other of their contemporaries.The North Pacific String Band sticks to a traditional form of bluegrass music with the occasional jazzy flourish to spice things up.
