Description

Gabriel Ibarra is a native of the bay area, he is presenting his photography of which is Architectural Historical Photograph. He started photographing in Alviso, when it was a quiet peaceful boat town. He proceeded to photograph in around downtown San Jose, the Agnew's West Campus, Santa Clara and Coyote Valley to name a few. In a nut shell he has tried to capture building sites that are at risk of destruction. This is more evident today. Condos are going up and up, open space is shrinking like there is no tomorrow.
He has stepped out of character and started photographing all the orchards on the fringes of the valley in late 1990's. Going to Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister, and beyond.
What it's all about is, a artistic take of our valley's historic resources and how really precious they are.
Getting more people aware of what we have before we level even more of the few we have. Gabriel is a member of many historical organizations, he gains valuable information of what building sites are historical, why and when.
He enjoys the challenge of traveling to new places, meeting new people and sharing what he has learned.
